MY STORY
I started writing software at 14. It wasn't very good, but I kept going. Since then I've worked in an agency, in consultancy, as a freelancer and inside a product team, so I've seen projects from the client side, the delivery side and the "we have to live with this code" side.
Now I work across the whole stack: the storefront or app people use, the API and database behind it, and the hosting it runs on. I care about software that's still easy to change a year later, and about telling clients plainly what's worth building and what isn't.
I also build things for the challenge, or simply because someone needs them. The Doncaster Mustangs, my American football team, needed a way to review game film, so I built them a film-review app and video transcoder.
